Craniosacral Therapy - subtle techniques

Craniosacral Therapy is a form of bodywork or alternative therapy focused primarily on the concept of "primary respiration" and regulating the flow of cerebrospinal fluid by using therapeutic touch to manipulate the synarthrodial joints of the cranium. To do this, a practitioner will apply light touches to a patient's skull, face, spine and pelvis.

Adam learned craniosacral techniques while apprenticing with Tom Bisio. Through this tutelage, the subtle listening skills of craniosacral therapy were expanded to address the dynamics of Chinese medical theory. This has allowed the techniques to transcend their original framework and to be applied in variety of new ways. These subtle techniques can be used in the traditional form to treat the body through accessing the skull, face, spine and pelvis, but can also be applied to specific joints to address more local areas.
